I had the chicken fried steak with some of the most delicious mashed potatoes, gravy and baked beans (with real bacon in it!) I've had in a long time. I brought home a brownie with sea salt caramel ice cream (in separate container for travel home) drizzled in choc - totally off diet, lol, but delicious. Hubby had the most huge olive and swiss burger. The mayo, specialty made, was amazing as were the thick slices of pickles. He also had a (very good, he said) bowl of chili. He said it was very delicious. It was a great surprise for him. The food was so good that I had our waitress, Fiona, take a five dollar bill back to Teresa, the cook, as a thank you for the great food. Fiona came to the table and said I'd made her day, lol. Good! Highly recommend and will be back!
Good people. They are working hard to serve good quality food. Even short staffed they did their best to make a great burger. Very happy I decided to stop by while driving around here.
Wonderful diner! Everything we had was good cafe food! And a variety of gluten free options!
Great small family owned restaurant! We had a party of 6 and the waitress did amazing! The omelettes and breakfast burritos were absolutely amazing! Highly recommend! They put their heart and soul into the food!
Stopped in on the way through and wasn’t disappointed. We had a cheeseburger, italian wrap and some biscuits and gravy and it was all really good home cooked food. Restrooms were clean and also had the walls painted really cool with an outdoor theme. All in all great place to stop in and get a good bite to eat.
A group of 12 of us dropped in here, twice on our trip, and they were able to accommodate the group size. The first day we sat in the back room, the next day we sat outside. The food was great, jellies were outstanding, and the service was very quick. Our one friend got the pancakes breakfast and was seriously the size of a dinner plate.
We've visited twice during a week long vacation to the area. Food is delicious and staff are kind. Even the locals seem to welcome you. That's a nice treat. We've gotten sandwiches for lunch one day, where I ate the Hammie Jam - ham, onion, cheddar, and homemade raspberry on sourdough. Perfectly balanced and beyond tasty. I was pleasantly surprised and wanted to have another. Then, on Friday, we ate fish for their fish fry. I've also had the triple berry crumble for dessert. Beautiful murals in restrooms.
We had the chef salad, the fried mushrooms, the chicken noodle soup, and the bulldog pizza. Katie greeted us at the door and was our server. So friendly and right on top of everything. The food here is absolutely delicious. Everything tasted great and the portions were enormous. We almost missed it because it does look small from the outside. But don't let the outside deceive you, the food and people on the inside are definitely worth the visit!
